Registration of Trade Names
Trade Names are distinguishing marks whose function is to identify an individual or a legal entity in the exercise of his business activity, distinguishing their activity from other identical or similar activities by the competition.
This item is a distinguishing mark of an exclusively Spanish scope, and cannot be extended internationally.
At Alvamark we undertake to perform, free of charge, a preliminary study in search of identical or similar denominations, in order to achieve an indicative assessment of the feasibility thereof.

Official Spanish Trade Name Registration
Only by means of the official registration of a Spanish trade name is the exclusive right to its use obtained; this has two different applications:
- On the one hand, the exclusive right to use said trade name in the market.
- On the other hand, to prevent others from using it in Spain for its application to identical or similar business activities.
DURATION OF THE REGISTRATION
The duration of the protection of Trade Names, as is the case with that of Trademarks, is 10 years as from the date of filing the application, and they can be renewed indefinitely.
